On New Year's Day, around midday, we made a snap decision to invite people around for a BBQ. So txt messages were sent, and plans arranged! Turned out to be a very good night, despite the chronic lack of preparation. We still had plenty of wine left over from Christmas for the girls, and I took a chance and cooked up some fancy asparagus steaks (which turned out very nicely indeed, thankyou very much!). We ended up sitting around chatting to Rach and Dave till well after midnight.
All in all a good night! Hopefully, once we get back from our trip, we can make these into a regular occurrence again, just like we had in Bris!
