A couple of days ago we bottled the ginger beer. It hadn't stopped bubbling, but it had slowed right down. Since it had already been almost 3 weeks, we decided we couldn't wait much longer. So it's now all been bottled up, and all we need to do is wait a couple of weeks to see how it tastes! I'll be keeping a steady eye on the bottles, lest they start pressurising too much, and threaten to explode. At least with these plastic bottles, they should just pop the lid off, or seep out around the lid, unlike glass bottles which just shatter.
All in all, we got 2.5 cartons of 700ml bottles out of this batch, which is pretty good! Will be even better if it actually tastes all right! Of course, it'll be ready to drink just as we're ready to hop on the plane - D'Oh!!! Oh well - I'm sure it'll still be here when we get back (unless it's very tasty, and word gets out!)
